Louise Stenild will be going for something never achieved by a woman: running seven marathons in seven days, on seven continents.
Her first was in Antarctica; her second was in Santiago, Chile–both run under five hours. On Monday, she ran the Los Angeles Marathon course. Next stops: Sydney, Australia, Singapore, Cairo, Egypt, and finally London, England.
Stenild is attempting this feat to raise money for the Adam Rogers Trust, which was established in honor of a 13-year-old by the same name who died of a brain tumor.
According to Stenild, “Failure is not an option.”
