INDIANAPOLIS – Magdalena Lewy Boulet has been named USA Track & Field’s Athlete of the Week after becoming the fourth-fastest American ever in the women’s marathon Sunday at the Rotterdam Marathon in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Kenyan is a four-time champion. Catherine Ndereba of Kenya, a four-time Boston Marathon champion, withdrew from the race on April 9th. Ndereba was forced to pull out of the 114th running of the Boston Marathon due to an injury to her piriformis muscle.

The Kenyan has won three London titles. Three-time Virgin London Marathon champion Martin Lel has been forced to withdraw for the second consecutive year. Lel said it is prolonged shin pain that has forced him to miss the 2010 race.

Kenyan becomes fourth-fastest all-time. Patrick Makau of Kenya took the title at the 2010 Rotterdam Marathon, clocking in at 2:04:45. Makau’s time makes him the fourth fastest marathoner of all-time.
